TS Galaxy’s new Goalkeeper coach, Greg Etafia, has expressed gratitude to the club’s owner for the opportunity to join the team. Etafia was unveiled together with the new coaching team put together by Sukazi to try and pull TS Galaxy up the log.
“First of all, I’d like to thank Mr Tim Sukazi. He’s a great man, and he knows what he is doing. For me to be part of this great family, I’m so humbled and grateful,” said the former Moroka Swallows goalkeeper.
TS Galaxy made wholesale changes to the technical team after a less than impressive start to the 2021/2 DSTV Premiership season. The Rockets lie sixteenth on the log, with a leaky defence that has shipped in 10 goals already. Etafia is hoping to help the club move off the foot of the table.
“Clean sheets are not only about the goalkeeper. It starts from the whole team, the backline, the defence, the strikers. Everyone defends, and everyone attacks. By God’s grace, I want to make sure the goalkeepers save some points for the team. Clean sheets are important,” explained the Nigerian coach.
The next league encounter for TS Galaxy is the visit of last season’s runners-up, AmaZulu FC. Etafia believes there is still time to change the fortunes of the Mpumalanga-based club.
“There is still a long way to go, and it’s only six games. We don’t belong in that position, and this international break came at the right time. It’s a time where we can work until the international break is finished and hope by then we will be prepared,” stressed Etafia.
