Mozambique national team coach, Chiqhuino Conde, has recalled 37 year old Elias Pelembe to the national team squad. Pelembe joins the Mambas squad that is preparing to face Ivory Coast and Malawi in the FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Cape Town City defender has also been called back into the squad, with Conde saying age is not a factor in considering who to include in the national team.

Mozambique are out of the running for a spot in the Play-Off Round, having only managed a point so far in Group D.
