The semifinal lineup at the CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifiers is locked in after the group stage wrapped up at AW Muller Stadium in Johannesburg on Wednesday, setting up two high-stakes clashes on Friday.
Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies topped Group A and will take on Zambian debutants Zesco Ndola Girls at 15h00 CAT. Earlier in the day, last year’s beaten finalists Gaborone United Ladies from Botswana will meet Costa do Sol of Mozambique at 12h00 CAT.
Gaborone United arrive in the last four on the back of a record-breaking performance, crushing Lesotho’s Kick4Life 10-1 — the biggest victory in the competition’s history. Gaonyadiwe Ontlametse hit five goals, while Maungo Maponga added four in a ruthless attacking display.

“This was just the beginning, we want to prove that Botswana football can compete at the highest level,” said United coach Tapaphiwa Gaebolae, who guided his side to the final last year.
Kick4Life’s Lerato Tsoinyane grabbed a late consolation, but Ontlametse’s five-goal haul — taking her top of the Golden Boot standings — stole the spotlight.
In Group C, Herentals Queens beat Comoros side Olympic de Moroni 4-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Morelife Nyagumbo, but the Zimbabweans bowed out as Costa do Sol advanced on points.
With Sundowns chasing a third title, United seeking redemption, Costa do Sol pushing for a first final, and Zesco aiming to make history on debut, Friday’s semis promise fireworks.
Entrance is free for fans, with both matches streamed live on FIFA+.
