The forward scored 12 goals and supplied three assists in the Creative Championship League last season, according to the newspaper.
Beyond Limits announced the move on Tuesday, congratulating Akinocho on his next step into European football.
His initial placement with the under-19 side makes this a development move. Progress towards Villarreal’s professional teams will depend on his performances after joining.
The announcement did not specify the length of the contract beyond describing it as a long-term agreement.
