Morocco Announce Squad For World Cup Play-Off
Vahid Halilhodzic has announced the Morocco squad to face the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Atlas Lions are two games away from qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Halilhodzic has kept the squad that participated in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Souffian Karouani, Mohamed Chibi, Aymen Barkok, Zakaria Aboukhla, Soufiane Rahimi, Achraf Bencharki miss out from that AFCON squad.
The retired Ziyech has been ignored as Morocco moves on from the AFCON disappointment. Captain Saiss will lead the 26-man squad that includes nine defenders.
