Kaizer Chiefs’ Zimbabwean import, Khama Billiat has not joined pre-season camp with the club saying the attacking midfielder is ‘nowhere to be seen.’
Billiat’ career at the most supported club in South Africa has been blotted with injury and he has failed to reach the heights seen at Mamelodi Sundowns.
“Billiat was last seen at the Kaizer Chiefs Village on 29 June and has not answered any of the calls made or messages sent to him by the Club,” read a media release from Kaizer Chiefs.
As soon as Billiat’s contract has officially expired, he can make a move as a free agent. With the statement, Kaizer Chiefs has seemingly defended itself from any public outcry should the club not re-sign the Zimbabwean.
“The team is currently in camp with all the players, yet Billiat, who is also expected to be there with his teammates, failed to show up and is currently nowhere to be found,” concludes the statement by Kaizer Chiefs.
