CAF Announces Men’s Nominees for 2025 Awards: Africa’s Finest Set for Recognition

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards in the men’s categories, honouring the continent’s brightest talents — from players and coaches to clubs and national teams.

Covering the period from 6 January to 15 October 2025, the nominations recognise those who have made exceptional contributions to African and global football. A panel comprising members of CAF’s Technical & Development Committee, seasoned coaches, CAF Legends, and selected media professionals shortlisted ten nominees per category.


🏆 Men’s Player of the Year

A heavyweight list led by Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool) and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Cameroon/Napoli) headlines this year’s nominees. DR Congo’s Fiston Mayele (Pyramids) also earns a deserved place after firing his club to the CAF Champions League title. Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, and Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye are among other top contenders.
