Durban Set for Double Dose of Carling Knockout Drama

The city of Durban is gearing up for a football-filled weekend as KwaZulu-Natal gets to host both semifinals of the 2025 Carling Knockout Cup, promising fans back-to-back action and electric atmospheres.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Thursday confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the two highly anticipated semifinal clashes, both set for the weekend of 8 and 9 November 2025.

In a major boost for local supporters, eThekwini will take centre stage, hosting two crucial matches on consecutive days — a rare treat for football fans in the province.

The action begins on Saturday, 8 November, when Richards Bay FC face Orlando Pirates at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The following day, Sunday, 9 November, Lamontville Golden Arrows battle Marumo Gallants at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi.

Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 15h00, giving fans ample time to travel and soak in the festive football atmosphere across the city.

“Supporters of the beautiful game are encouraged to purchase tickets early and be part of the Carling Knockout excitement in eThekwini,” read a PSL statement.

Tickets are priced at R80 and will be available from 16h00 today via Open Tickets outlets nationwide.

With the semi-final stage now set, Durban will not only host the country’s top footballing talent but also showcase its unmatched passion for the game — turning KwaZulu-Natal into the heartbeat of South African football that weekend.
