Ghana And Nigeria To Represent Africa At World Cup
Ghana and Nigeria will represent Africa at the U20 Women’s World Cup to be staged in Costa Rica. The two West African states successfully completed the qualifying rounds to their place at the World Cup table.
Ghana’s Black Princesses beat Ethiopia U20 5-1 on aggregate to book an impressive sixth consecutive appearance at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. While the Falconets of Nigeria will make the tenth showing at the World Cup, thanks to a 7-2 hammering of Senegal.
The tournament is scheduled to be played in San Jose and Alajuela from the 10th to the 28th of August this year. There will be 16 nations competing for the prestigious trophy at this year’s event.
The draw for the tournament is set for San Jose on the 5th of May where the teams will be divided into four groups. CAF has congratulated Ghana and Nigeria.
