Jali And Shalulile Rule Awards Night

Andile Jali and Peter Shalulile ruled the Premier Soccer League Awards night held on Saturday night in Johannesburg. The Mamelodi Sundowns duo collected six accolades between them at the event which broadcasted live.

Jali, who has been outstanding for the league champions, won the MTN Last Man Standing, Nedbank Player of the Tournament, and Midfielder of the Season. Shalulile bagged the Top Goalscorer, Players Players of the Season, and the coveted Footballer of the Season.

To cap the dominance of Mamelodi Sundowns, Manqoba Mnqithi and Rulani Mokwena won the Coach of the Season award while Lyle Lakay walked away with the Defender of the Year trophy.

Supersport United’s Luke Fleurs was named Young Player of the Season as the evening was turned into a Pretoria affair.

Hugo Marques ensured Cape Town City FC did not leave empty-handed as he was announced as the Goalkeeper of the Season.

Pretoria University were part of the program thanks to Keegan Allan winning the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player award.

Boitumelo Radiopane of Orlando Pirates scooped the Diski Challenge Player of the Season, on yet another anonymous awards show for the Soweto clubs.
