Mpofu Appointed Head Coach Of Sua

Zimbabwean born coach, Mandla Mpofu has landed on a new job following his release by Botswana Football League top flight club Masitaoka FC.

Mpofu has been appointed Head Coach of Sua Flamingoes following the resignation of Nikola Kavazovic. Mpofu guided Masitaoka to a seventh place finish in the league. He was in charge of 34 official matches (all competitions) and amassed 16 wins, 14 losses and 4 draws. The team made it to the Orange FA Cup semifinals.

“Mr Mpofu has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our Club. We are excited to have Mr Mpofu join us as we prepare for the season ahead,” a statement on Sua Flamingoes’ official Facebook page read.

According to the press release by Sua Flamingoes, the former Zimbabwe national team assistant coach has signed a 1 year contract.
