Uganda Premier League champions, Vipers SC, have appointed Leornado Martins Neiva, popularly known as Leo Neiva to the post of head coach. Neiva signed a 2-year contract, officially replacing Alex Isabirye who resigned.
The Brazilian coach is best remembered on the African continent for leading Tanzania’s Young Africans to a league championship win in 2015. His first job in Africa was Academy Coach at the now-defunct Platinum Stars in South Africa.
“I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Vipers SC’s interests. This is a fantastic club. I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of,” Neiva told the Vipers SC official website.
