Real, Factual.

Orlando Pirates will play their last CAF Confederation Cup group match to win. This was the declaration by co-coach Mandla Ncikazi after sealing a place in the quarter-finals with a game to spare.

“We are playing at home, and we have to win all our matches. We will play hard to get the 15 points if it’s possible,” said Ncikazi after watching his charges beat Algerian side JS Saoura.

Orlando Pirates will meet Libya’s Al Ittihad with a loss or draw for Mandla Ncikazi’s side, giving JS Saoura a chance to qualify for the quarter-finals. JS Saoura will fancy their chances of collecting three points against group whipping boys Royal Leopards. Ncikazi will not be telling his boys to go easy on Al Ittihad.

“We are a professional side. We’re going play our strongest side and play to win. To us, all matches are played to win. It’s not going to be an easy match but we are going to play Ittihad and play to win,” declared Ncikazi.

Orlando Pirates is chasing their second continental trophy after that famous 1995 CAF Champions League triumph.

Ncikazi’s side is one of five teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals with one game to spare. DRC’s TP Mazembe, Al Masry and Pyramids FC of Egypt, and Al Ahli Tripoli will be in the draw for the last eight.
