Zambia is targeting nothing less than maximum points in Shepolopolo’s next game at the FIFA Women’s World Cup at Eden Park. Coach Bruce Mwape says they have prepared the team adequately, and expects a totally different Zambia performance against Spain.

“I think we want maximum points for us to qualify. We need to win the remaining games,” Mwape told a pre-match press conference.

Mwape will certainly be looking to get more balls to captain Barbara Banda, who is also hoping for a different performance and result against the Spanish who already registered a win in the tournament.

“For us, our focus and our mind is just to perform to our level best,” stressed Banda.

Zambia made too many mistakes against Japan, according to the coach Mwape, something that Barbara hopes to correct against Spain.

“We’ve learnt something from the previous game that we had and we just hope to implement the right mentality in the next game that we are going to have,” explained the influential captain.

A defeat against Spain will Zambia see fly home early from the nation’s first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup.
