Namibia grants free entrance for upcoming World Cup qualifers
In a bid to have more people attend the games, the Namibia Football Association is granting free entrance for the country’s next two games.
The Brave Warriors will take on Malawi and Sao Tome & Principe on the 5th and 9th of September, respectively. Both home games will be played at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana.

“We would love to see all Namibians filling the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium to the brim, waving the Namibian flag high in support of the Brave Warriors in their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifications against Malawi and São Tomé and Príncipe on the 5th and 9th September 2025, respectively,” Cassius Moetie, the NFA Interim General Secretary, announced.
Travelling between Namibia and Botswana has little or no restrictions for citizens of both countries. Moetie encouraged Namibians to make the journey to Francistown.
“Let us all buy the necessary merchandise and the National Flag to paint the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium with our red, blue, green, white with our bright yellow sun ensuring we return home in a strong convy with 6-points in our pocket,” said Moetie.
Namibia currently sit in second position on the Group H log, four points behind Tunisia. Second-placed teams will have an outside chance to make it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the Americas. Africa has nine spots and another through playoffs.
