Proteas Add New South African Partner as Jonsson Workwear Joins CSA
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has added another major South African brand to its commercial portfolio after announcing a multi-year partnership with Jonsson Workwear.
The agreement will see Jonsson Workwear become an Official Sponsor of the Proteas and CSA’s Official Workwear and Apparel Supplier, bringing the two organisations together around themes of performance, resilience and hard work.
Under the deal, the Jonsson Workwear logo will appear on the sleeves of the Proteas Men’s and Women’s ODI and T20I playing shirts.
The partnership will also extend beyond the field, with CSA staff set to wear Jonsson Workwear apparel as they carry out their various roles across the organisation.
CSA CEO Pholetsi Moseki welcomed the partnership, describing Jonsson Workwear as a proudly South African brand that shares the organisation’s commitment to excellence.
“The CSA family continues to grow, and we couldn’t be prouder to partner with Jonsson Workwear, a homegrown South African industry leader.”
A partnership built on hard work
The agreement comes at an exciting time for both organisations.
The Proteas are riding a wave of renewed confidence following their ICC World Test Championship triumph, while Jonsson Workwear continues to expand its presence both domestically and internationally.
For Jonsson Workwear CEO Nick Jonsson, the partnership represents more than simply placing a logo on the Proteas’ playing kit.
“There’s a real sense of pride in bringing together two South African brands that represent hard work and performance.”
He added that the Proteas’ determination on the international stage mirrors the resilience of hardworking South Africans.
The partnership will officially get underway with the upcoming tri-series involving South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe, before the Proteas embark on a busy home summer featuring international contests against Australia and England.
For CSA, the deal provides another commercial boost. For Jonsson Workwear, it offers a prominent platform alongside two of South Africa’s most recognisable sporting teams.
