Beline Nyarkoh struck late as Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies 2–1 in Ismailia on Thursday, 5 November, to take control of Group B in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Nancy Amoh put the Ghanaian side ahead, but Shadia Nabirya equalised after the half-hour mark. The teams were still level in the closing stages when Nyarkoh converted from close range in the 84th minute after Kawempe goalkeeper Josephine Nambuya failed to hold a cross.

Ampem Darkoa now have six points from two matches, having opened with a 5–1 win over Mali’s USFAS Bamako. Kawempe remain on three points after beating defending champions AS FAR in their opening match.

AS FAR responded to that defeat by beating USFAS 6–0 in Thursday’s other Group B match. Ampem Darkoa face AS FAR in their final group fixture, while Kawempe meet USFAS. Both matches are scheduled for Sunday, 8 November.
