Stellebosch FC has added to the club’s midfield depth by signing free agent Darrel Matsheke. The defensive midfielder comes with some experience, having played for Moroka Swallows and Uthongathi on loan spells. Matsheke also has CAF Champions League experience from his time at Kaizer Chiefs.
“He is technically sound, plays with a lot of energy and intensity, and has the ability to break down attacks, and once he has done that he has the ability to then progress the ball either through the quality of his passing or by carrying the ball,” Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker told the club’s official website about the 24-year old.
Although the PSL transfer window closed some time ago, unattached players can join any club of their choice.
