AFCON 2025: Full Prize Money Breakdown as CAF Distributes $32 Million
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on 21 December in Morocco, with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirming a total prize pool of US$32 million for the tournament.
CAF’s financial structure ensures that every team earns prize money, with rewards increasing significantly as nations progress through the competition.
All participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of $500,000, awarded to sides that finish fourth in their group. Teams that place third in the group stage will receive $700,000, while advancing to the Round of 16 earns $800,000.
Reaching the quarter-finals comes with a payout of $1.3 million, and teams that advance to the semi-finals will pocket $2.5 million.
The biggest rewards await the finalists. The AFCON 2025 runners-up will receive $4 million, while the champions of Africa will walk away with a $7 million prize.
