Bullets Land Liberian Playmaker Sheku Sheriff in Statement Signing
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have strengthened their attacking arsenal in style, confirming the signing of Liberian international Sheku Sheriff on a two-year deal — a move that promises to inject fresh craft and cutting edge into Wedson Nyirenda’s side.
The 26-year-old left-footed playmaker arrives in Malawi from LPRC Oilers, bringing with him a reputation built on vision, silky passing, and a dead-ball delivery that has troubled defenders across Liberian football. Born in Grand Cape Mount County, Sheriff is no stranger to big stages, having represented his country at both international and continental level.

By the grace of God, and by working together with my teammates and coaches as one family, I promise to give 100 per cent whenever I represent Bullets.”
For his part, Nyirenda made no secret of the fact that Sheriff ticks every box on the club’s shopping list. “We have been looking for an attacking midfielder who can also operate further forward — someone with an eye for the decisive pass and a strong instinct for goal. Sheriff possesses those attributes.”
The gaffer added that the arrival sharpens competition without upsetting the balance already built in midfield. “We have very good midfielders, but we wanted to add a player capable of arriving from deeper areas to create opportunities and threaten the goal. Greater competition will give us more balance across the team.”
Nyirenda also spoke glowingly of the Liberian’s temperament, not just his talent. “Sheriff handles the ball well and uses space intelligently. He also has good character, leadership qualities and a strong mentality. We believe he will add value to the team and look forward to seeing him bring those qualities onto the pitch.”
