Chippa Face Ban Over Banda
Chippa United face an imminent transfer ban from FIFA over the non-payment of Abdi Banda. The Tanzanian, who made less than 20 appearances for the Chilli Boys, could now cost a whole lot more than the R1.2 million the club is said to owe him.
FIFA has already communicated the ban to SAFA who must enforce it.
“We wish to inform the parties that a ban from registering new players internationally has been implemented by FIFA as of today.
Moreover, and in accordance with the aforementioned decision, respondent ́s member association is requested to immediately implement on the respondent, the Club Chippa United FC, a ban from registering new players at national level.
We thank you for taking note of the above and for your valuable cooperation in this matter.” a letter from FIFA read.
Chippa join Royal AM in the transfer sin bin with FIFA being very strict over the welfare of foreign players.
