Inactive Lunga Included In Brita Squad For Rwanda And Nigeria
Zimbabwe caretaker coach, Baltermar Brito has called up inactive leftback Divine Lunga to the Zimbabwe squad set to play Rwanda and Nigeria this month. Lunga has hardly been on the pitch this season after being called back from a loan spell at Golden Arrows by Mamelodi Sundowns. While his talent cannot be questioned, match fitness may become an issue for Lunga.
Speaking of Golden Arrows, the club’s all-time leading scorer, Knox Mtizwa did not make the 23-man squad despite being in rich scoring vein. Brita opted for Bulawayo Chiefs’ Obriel Chirinda who has been in fine scoring form in the Zimbabwe local league. Chirinda is joined by FC Platinum’s Walter Musona as the only locally-based strikers. Terence Dzvukamanja(Supersport United), Tinotenda Kadewere(Lyon), Prince Dube(Azam FC), Admiral Muskwe(Exeter City) make up the rest of the striking department.

United States of America-based Teenage Hadebe anchors the defence selected by the 71-year old Brita. Marshall Munetsi who has been in the form of his life for Stade de Reims in France is expected to captain The Warriors on their official return to international football.
Zimbabwe will play both FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Rwanda after failing to get any of the local stadiums approved by CAF.
