Kaizer Chiefs Announce Moves for Five Players
Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed loan moves for five players as the club looks to give its emerging talent valuable competitive experience during the 2026/27 season.
The Soweto giants announced that two senior players and three academy prospects will spend the campaign with other clubs, providing them with an opportunity to gain regular game time and continue their development.
Zwane and Molefe join Hope FC
Senior squad members Samkelo Zwane and goalkeeper Bontle Molefe will both join Cape Town-based Hope FC on loan.
The pair will compete in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, giving them the chance to experience regular senior football away from the pressure of the Chiefs first team.
For Zwane and Molefe, the move could prove important as they look to strengthen their claims for greater involvement with Amakhosi in the future.
Three academy players also move
Chiefs have also opened the door for three members of their Youth Development Academy to gain experience elsewhere.
Ofentse Kgosana and Vicky Mkhawana will spend the season with Real Natives, formerly known as Casric Stars, in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga.
Meanwhile, Sfiso Simba will remain in Gauteng after securing a loan move to Gomora FC.
The club said the moves are intended to give the youngsters valuable competitive exposure as they continue their football education.
“Kaizer Chiefs can confirm that two senior players and three from the Youth Development Academy have secured loan moves to gain valuable experience at various different clubs,” the club said.
The loan strategy provides Chiefs with an opportunity to monitor the progress of their players while allowing the youngsters to accumulate regular minutes in competitive football.
For the five players, the 2026/27 campaign now represents an opportunity to turn game time into development — and potentially return to Naturena ready to challenge for places in the Chiefs squad.
