Kaizer Chiefs have now officially announced the club’s new head coach. While Nasreddine Nabi has already conducted training sessions, a formal announcement was only made today.
“Kaizer Chiefs are delighted to confirm the much-anticipated appointment of Mohamed Nasreddine Nabi to the position of head coach of the men’s senior team. The two parties have agreed on a two-year contract with an option to extend it by one year.” a report on the club’s official website stated.

“We believe we have found the right man to fulfill our vision of restoring Amakhosi to our rightful place at the top of the football pyramid, and we welcome coach Nabi and his technical team with the pledge of unity and support in pursuit of our common goal,” Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr said.
Nabi was allowed to bring in his backroom staff, meaning there is no South African in the technical team. It is still a very small technical team, compared with other top African clubs. Jessica Motaung explained recently there will be a lot of collaboration with local coaches employed by the club in other departments.
