Midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane headlines the list of injured players who didn’t join the rest of the squad in pre-season training. With the bulk of the squad in Turkey, four players are on the recovery table, according to team physiotherapist David Milner.

Tebogo Postane, Dillan Solomons, and George Matlou are at various stages of recovery. Unlike the other three, Mduduzi Mdantsane was not injured on the field of play. The 29-year-old was involved in a car accident and broke his jaw.
“He had surgery, and if all goes well, is expected back in three months time,” Milner told the club’s official website.
Dillan Solomons will miss the start of the DSTV Premiership season with a shoulder injury. Milner expects the defender to be out for at least another nine weeks. George Matlou is not expected back until October, after undergoing knee surgery.
Milner did have slightly better news on winger Tebogo Postane.
“Tebogo’s recovery from groin surgery is progressing well and he is expected to be back in training in about two weeks,” explained Milner, who has been with Chiefs for more than 20 years.
The four players have missed out on being assessed by the new technical team led by Tunisian Nasreddine Nabi.
