One of the leading sports manufacturers in the world, PUMA has paired up with the Confederation of African Football, CAF. PUMA is now the technical sponsor for several CAF tournaments including the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Cote D’Ivoire next January.

“The agreement will commence on 1 November 2023 and PUMA will supply the official match ball at CAF tournaments, as well as provide the kit for referees,” a media release from CAF stated.

The official match ball for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will be launched on the 12th of October in Cote D’Ivoire. It will coincide with the draw for the tournament to be held from 13 January to 11 February. 24 nations have qualified for the continent’s biggest football festival.

“We are delighted that PUMA which is one of the leading sportswear manufacturers in the world, is partnering with CAF to develop and grow football in Africa,” said CAF president, Patrice Motsepe.

Johan Kuhlo, General Manager EEMEA Distribution at PUMA added: “Our agreement with CAF celebrates this passion for the sport across the continent and we will jointly develop exciting products specifically for African football.”
