Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe has received an official staff vehicle following the club’s qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
The handover took place on Monday, 26 October, with a Red Arrows statement explaining the Zambia Air Force allocation.
The statement described the vehicle as support for Mbewe’s official duties and the fulfilment of an earlier commitment—not simply a personal prize for eliminating Kaizer Chiefs.
According to the explanation, the club had requested transport for its coach, with the vehicle to be provided when available. Qualification created the occasion for the formal handover.
Red Arrows reached the group stage after a closely contested tie against Chiefs. The Zambian side won the first leg 1–0, before Amakhosi matched that result in Durban to leave the aggregate score at 1–1.
The Airmen then advanced through a penalty shootout.
Their continental success has therefore coincided with a practical addition to the coach’s working resources as preparations turn to the group stage.
