In a wonderful case of you reap what you sow, Steadfast FC is set to get millions of rewards from Abdul Fatawu’s move to Leicester City in England. The Ghana second division team could make up to seven million euros from the deal.

Instead of selling Fatawu to Sporting Lisbon, Steadfast put a 50% sell-on clause when the winger moved to Portugal. Fatawu did not impress in the lower ranks of Sporting Lisbon and was subsequently loaned to Leicester City. The English signed a deal that had a mandatory obligation to buy Fatawu for 14 million Euros should the club get promoted to the English Premier League.

According to Youtuber and well-known football enthusiast, Santi, Steadfast FC knew Fatawu was destined for greatness.

“The Ghanain club asked for no transfers fees as they didn’t want to stand in the way of his career in Europe but a 50% sell on clause in the first three years of his move to Sporting, knowing he was destined for greatness,” Santi posted on X.

With their 50% sell-on clause, Steadfast FC is now expecting seven million Euros in their bank account when the deal is finalised. They did not want to stand in the way of a young player going to fulfill his potential in Europe and it now looks like Hon. Haruna Iddrisu and his club will reap millions of rewards.
