The Taifa Stars have confirmed their final 28-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with captain Mbwana Samatta and veteran forward Simon Msuva headlining Miguel Gamondi’s selections.

Samatta Back to Lead the Charge

Samatta reclaims the armband after rediscovering top form with Le Havre in France’s Ligue 1, while Msuva also returns as one of the squad’s most experienced attacking options.

Rising talents Kelvin Nashon and Novatus Dismas make the final cut, highlighting Gamondi’s balance between experience and youth.

Overseas-based defender Haji Mnoga (Salford City, England) is among the most notable inclusions from abroad.

This will be Tanzania’s fourth AFCON appearance, as they aim to make a statement in Morocco.
