Lyle Foster is back in the Bafana Bafana squad for November’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya after making Pitso Mosimane’s final 27-player selection.
The forward missed South Africa’s opening two qualifiers, but is in contention for the meetings with Benni McCarthy’s Harambee Stars on 13 and 17 November. Defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi also returns, while Siyanda Ndlovu earns a place among the attacking options.

Mosimane has included Mamelodi Sundowns duo Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena as they recover from injuries. Speaking after announcing the squad on Thursday, 5 November, the coach said he would give both players time and wait for medical advice before deciding whether replacements were needed. Sipho Chaine and Ricardo Goss are the other goalkeepers selected.
Bafana host Kenya at Orlando Amstel Arena on Friday, 13 November, before travelling to Nairobi for the return fixture on Tuesday, 17 November. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 18:00 SAST.
South Africa won their opening two Group D fixtures. With Kenya already qualified as co-hosts, Bafana are competing with Guinea and Eritrea for the group’s one remaining finals place.
