Jali fighting Swallows dismissal and hoping to get it resolved
Andile Jali and his representatives are fighting his dismissal from Moroka Swallows. According to the player’s agent, Mike Makaab, Jali could not have been involved in the player striker at the time.
“We are at the moment contesting that dismissal. Just to let you know that AJ was injured and so he wasn’t available to train and wasn’t available to play. That is the truth,” Makaab said on his show Extra Time on Gagasi FM.
Jali has not been training with Moroka Swallows, who have a huge rebuilding exercise on their hands in the second half of the DSTV Premiership season. Whether or not the dismissed players return to the club, Steve Komphela will have a mammoth dressing room challenge to overcome. Makaab confirmed that Jali had signed a one-year deal with the Dobsonville-based Dube Birds.
“It was only a season with an option,” the former Orlando Pirates coach, who now represents several professional players as an agent.
With the season set to get underway in mid-February, Jali will be hoping to resolve his issues with Moroka Swallows as soon as possible. Makaab played down the chances of getting Jali another team at the moment.
“It’s not an easy situation because its the January transfer window, and in the January transfer window clubs have their budgets, clubs have filled certain positions and they’re not looking to strengthen in those positions so it’s not as easy as just finding another club,” explained Makaab.
