Oura and De Reuck Rescue Simba in 3–2 Namungo Comeback

Anicet Oura scored twice as Simba recovered from a halftime deficit to defeat Namungo 3–2 in the Tanzanian league on Monday, 2 November.

Oura gave the hosts an early lead at Uhuru Stadium, but Raymond Lulendi’s brace turned the match in Namungo’s favour before the interval.

Steve Barker’s side were still trailing entering the closing stages before Rushine De Reuck converted a penalty to bring them level.

Oura then scored the winner in the 89th minute, finishing after receiving a pass from Elie Mpanzu.

The late turnaround maintained Simba’s perfect start to the current league campaign, taking them to 10 wins from 10 matches and 30 points.

It also delivered another decisive contribution from De Reuck, whose goal had settled the previous league match against Fountain Gate.

Simba were pushed much harder this time, but their late response ensured Namungo’s advantage did not survive until the final whistle.
