With just a few days to go before Bafana Bafana embarks on a series of international friendly matches, 10bet South Africa, the proud official betting partner of South Africa’s senior national team, is urging South Africans to rally behind the Africa Cup of Nations bound team.

10bet SA, the globally acclaimed sportsbook and games operator, hosted a breakfast at the
team’s hotel in Johannesburg to discuss the significant value that the brand aims to bring
through its partnership with them.

Participating in the panel discussion led by 10bet’s Sponsorship Manager, Nick Moyo, were
prominent sports industry figures including team captain, Ronwen Williams, his vice-captain
Percy Tau as well as former Bafana Bafana defender, Siboniso Gaxa, all weighed in on
the significance of having an international brand, such as 10bet rallying behind them,
together with the nation’s unified support.

“As the proud official betting partner to our national team, our goal is to remind South Africans
that the Bafana Bafana brand remains one of the biggest in Africa, and with the team on a
steady path of re-building and taking up its rightful place on the continent, we urge the
nation to join us in true South African spirit to support the team in all their upcoming
matches, for AFCON and beyond,” said Moyo.

Echoing 10bet’s sentiments was the former Bafana Bafana defender, Gaxa saying that the
importance of having partners and the nation behind the team plays a huge role in the
team’s moral.

“As a former player, I fully understand and appreciate the positive effect that the public’s
support has on a team. On a number of occasions, we have witnessed South Africans
rallying behind Bafana Bafana – from the glory days of 1996, right up to our recent
qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations – South Africans have demonstrated their love for
the team. We therefore ask that they continue doing so as the team prepares for the Africa
Cup of Nations,” said Gaxa.

Adding onto the former defender’s sentiments was Williams, saying that the team needs all
the support that it can get in these upcoming friendlies ahead of the AFCON tournament.

“The team has been working hard over the last few months and this has showed in how
transformed and motivated we have been. Our recent qualification for AFCON certainly
proves that the team is doing well again, but for us to do even better, we need the support
of the nation,” urged Williams.

In addition to hosting the breakfast, 10bet is also proud to officially announce its partnership
with seasoned sportscaster, Andile Ncube who joins the 10bet family as its official brand
partner. Ncube will be at the forefront of some of the brand’s marketing and activation
campaigns as the brand continues to cement itself in the South African market.

Bafana Bafana face Namibia on Saturday, 09 September at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto,
followed by another fixture against DR Congo at the same venue on Tuesday, 12
September. In October, the team will welcome Eswatini before travelling to Cote
d’Ivoire for their final friendly match against the AFCON hosts.
