Bafana Bafana will begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign at Orlando Stadium when they host Guinea on Saturday, 26 September 2026.
The fixture will also be Pitso Mosimane’s first match in charge of the national team since replacing Hugo Broos as head coach.
South Africa will then travel to Cairo for their second Group match against Eritrea at the Al-Salam Stadium on Wednesday, 30 September, before rounding off their trip with an international friendly against Egypt at Cairo International Stadium on 4 October.
SAFA president Dr Danny Jordaan has called on supporters to get behind the team as Mosimane begins his tenure.
“We encourage families and fans to come in their numbers to support the team as we begin this new era under coach Pitso Mosimane,” Jordaan said.
Mosimane announced his preliminary squad for the AFCON qualifiers last week, with the final squad expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
Tickets for the Guinea clash are already on sale, with adults charged R100 and children under 12 paying R40. Children’s tickets must be purchased alongside at least one adult ticket and cannot be bought separately.
