Brita Ready To Start ‘New Process’ With Zimbabwe
Baltermar Brita is ready to start a new process with the Zimbabwe national team, as The Warriors prepare to face Rwanda and Nigeria. After a lengthy FIFA ban, Zimbabwe return to the international scene in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next week.
“First of all we should understand that we starting a new process. A new process for us the technical team, the players, the committee, for everyone. We are making a big effort for things going well. After this long period of being banned some of the players are meeting for the first time. We need time,” Brita said through his interpreter as more players arrived at the Huye camp in Rwanda.
Both the Rwanda and Nigeria matches will played in Huye since Zimbabwe does not have a CAF approved stadium.
“The training sessions have been going well. We know Rwanda from videos, we did our assessment. We have an analyst that was provided to us by the committee, a good professional who is assisting us,” explained the 71-year old coach ahead of the first match against the Amavubi.
Most of the players Baltermar Brita selected were either in Rwanda or on their way at the time of the Tuesday evening training session. France-based Marshall Munetsi was already in Kigali while the South African trio of Divine Lunga, Washington Arubi, and Terence Dzvukamanja were enroute.
