There is still a lot to look forward to for Kaizer Chiefs
There is still a lot to look forward to for Kaizer Chiefs before the DSTV Premiership comes to an end in May. According to the club’s goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma, Amakhosi still have goals to achieve.
“Of course, there’s a lot to play for. We are looking forward like I mentioned, for the league to resume so that we finish in a better position,” said Bvuma.
The well-documented trophy drought at South Africa’s most followed club can come to an end if Bvuma and his teammates can annex the Nedbank Cup, the last trophy of the season. Lifting the trophy will pave the way for another African safari for the Amakhosi.
“We’d like to back to Africa, definitely one of our dreams, our targets for the season Of course winning a trophy would be great,” noted the 28-year-old keeper.
Kaizer Chiefs are currently on a second mini-pre-season camp since the league took a break due to the Africa Cup of Nations. The team has seen marked improvement since seasoned coach, Cavin Johnson took over as interim coach. Three wins and one draw in the last five league games is not a bad return considering where the team was before the departure of Molefi Ntseki.
The Natuerena-based Kaizer Chiefs currently sit sixth on the DSTV Premiership log standings, five points behind the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League qualifying spots.
